Things pep up on Friday, Aug. 7, when vocalist Heather Mayes joins the Richmond-based Triple Crossing Jazz Project for a night of toe-tapping pursuits. From finger-snapping to fist-pumping, Rich Robinson, founding member and guitarist formerly of the Southern soul rockers the Black Crowes, kicks out the acoustic jams with a solo performance on Saturday, Aug. 8. To bring the week to its rousing conclusion, the one-and-only Buckwheat Zydeco gets the crowd on its feet for a Louisiana-flavored dance party Sunday, Aug. 9.
